"You're very welcome," David said, taking the hug with a smile. He wrapped his arms around her, just for a moment though. He took a step back and giggled a little bit. "They really do work... some of the time," he said, looking down at the little hand made dolls. They had lost a bit of their color, but were still beautiful in there own little ways. Pausing for a moment, he smiled again, tucking a piece of Rose's hair behind her ear. It had been stray for a while and bugging him a bit. After letting his hand linger for a moment he pulled it away. "Sorry," he said, blushing a bit and looking down. He hadn't really realized what he had been doing. She was married, and obviously not interested in him.

Rose watched David's eyes as he reached over and fixed her hair. A warm smile washed over her as her hands moved to stroke the side of his hair. Nothing was stray, nothing needed to be fixed, but touching him was... nice. "Don't be." She said softly, lingering on his face a bit more before she decided to back away, and move back towards her chair.
She felt weird. And by weird, she felt pretty nice. She thought that she could feel... chemistry? It was something that she thought maybe had been there, but chose to brush it off on numerous occasions, believing it to be all in her head. But after that... she didn't know. She looked down at the dolls in her hand and smiled while her thumb gently stroked them.

David's skin tingled at her touch, his heart beat faster. He wanted to kiss her, he wanted to tell her he loved her, or at least do something. But instead, David stood there, completely dumbfounded. When she removed her hand from the side of his head, David stood there for a moment before turning away and heading into the kitchen. He could use something to drink other than coffee right now. Something to calm his nerves. "Do you want anything to drink?" he asked in a steady voice as he entered the small kitchenette and took out one glass, waiting for a response from Rose before closing the cabinet door. Nervously, he tapped his fingers on the counter.

Rose looked up from the dolls, and back towards where david stood. "sure. anything would be nice right now." she smiled at him, then returned her gaze back to the dolls. They were pretty, but kind of creepy at the same time. Looked like they were always staring at you. maybe that's the reason they put them under their pillow.
Rose sat the dolls down on the chair then went to Davids kitchen. She looked around, nodding to herself with approval. Davids home fit him very well. She liked it. "So how come you've never invited me over? she asked, running her hand along the counter top as she made her way around the small kitchen, observing every corner.

David shrugged, grabbing two Corona's from the fridge and placing them on the counter. "I don't know," David said, grabbing a bottle opener and popping the tops off. "I have an obnoxious room mate?" he said with a slight laugh, handing one of the bottles to Rose. Nicolas wasn't that annoying, he just had a big mouth. Pulling himself up onto the counter, David sat on the edge of the wood counter top. "I guess I just never thought you would want to come," he said, taking a sip of his beer. There wasn't anything special at the place. Sometimes there were parties, but it was most full of crazy Spanish speakers that Nicolas would invite over and cook for.

Rose glanced down at the bottle with a frown. She reached over and grabbed the cup to pour the beer into. She didn't drink out of bottles. Didn't seem right.. not that David knew that. "Obnoxious roommate?" she laughed, shaking her head. "If you say so." She took a sip of the beer and sat it down on the counter.
"Why wouldn't I? No one actually invites me into their homes. Out to events yes all the time. And usually those are business related." Rose replied followed by a sigh. "I'm not as high class as you may think David." She smirked, picking up the cup and sipping from it once more. Maybe she was high class. Alot. She runs a modeling agency and has money pouring from her ass pores. But she wasn't stuck up. She'd prefer a warm get together with friends over some big party any day. Some of her still had her roots left. Even if it didn't show.

"Yeah, you're going to have to trust me on that," David said with a slight laugh. He had talked to Nic a lot about Rose and maybe it was best that they didn't meet until ever. Or maybe they could meet at some point. Nicolas was, after all, David's best friend and practically brother. Maybe he could keep his mouth shut for at least once. Taking a swig from his beer, David grinned a bit. "Maybe not High Class," David said, setting his his bottle down next to him. "Just professional," he grinned. Usually, David hated mixing his personal life with business, but he couldn't control his heart. If only he could, though. He spun the bottle around aimlessly on the counter.

With a proud smile the woman nodded, professional was the best word suited for her. "Yeah. Even though this isn't really professional." She laughed, shrugging her shoulders. "But what can I say. I kind of like you." She smirked, glancing down at the bottle that was spinning on the counter top. Even though they weren't doing much of anything, Rose was enjoying her time with the man.
"That reminds me of the game I played back in high school. Spin the bottle... Damn that was so long ago!" Her high school days had been long over. 20 years now? Just about. Man she was getting old. It wasn't something Rose liked to linger on too much but still. As the years went by she was getting older. Luckily she aged gracefully. And for that she would be eternally grateful.

His heart skipped a beat. She liked him? But not in that way. It couldn't be that way. Deciding it was best not to say anything back to prevent him embarrassing himself, David simply just smiled. David glanced down at the bottle. "Spin the bottle?" he asked. He'd never heard of that before. In high school, the games they had played were drinking games and football. Unfortunately for David, he wasn't the best at either although he enjoyed both. Finishing the bottle, he held it out towards Rose. "Show me how you play it," he said.

Rose couldn't believe her ears. Did he say he'd never heard of spin the bottle? Everyone has heard of spin the bottle! Apparently not where he was from. She looked at her friend, skepticism in her eye but proceeded to show him the game.
"It's simple." She said, taking a few steps forward to grab the bottle. Aftere examining it for a moment she laid it down long ways on the counter. "usually you play the game with more people. You're all in a circle and someone goes first. They spin the bottle," She spun the bottle and watched it go around. Which ever person the 'pointer' lands on you have to kiss." She eyed the bottle, looking at it and back up at David, then down at the bottle which was indeed pointing at him. She felt herself getting nervous but didn't know why. She was just showing him... it wasn't like they were literally playing spin the bottle. "Umm... so yeah. That's how you play" She said quickly, rocking a little on her feet forcing a 'I'm-cool-nothing-to-see-here' smile on her face.

David watched as the bottle spun around and around, until it finally stopped, pointing at him. He looked between it and Rose a few times, almost waiting for something to happen. "So, technically you would kiss me now?" he asked, "And it would be my turn?"Placing his hand on the bottle, he spun it himself and watched it spin around slowly before stopping. He looked at where it was pointing, right at Rose. Sheepishly, he grinned, looking down at the ground. "It's just a silly game," he muttered, suddenly embarrassed for practically no reason at all. He felt a bit nervous too, his stomach fluttering with butterflies.

Rose felt her heart beat quickening. She felt like she was back in college again. "Yes. Technically you would kiss me now." It felt weird to say that. This was just... a weird game to be explaining to someone. A laugh erupted from her, her head shook from side to side. This was too crazy.
And now, ironically the bottle landed on her. For some reason her laughing stopped and she stared down at the bottle. What would he do now? It was almost as if she were waiting for it to happen. What if he did kiss her? What would Rose do? Would she pull away or give in? That was a question that she couldn't even answer herself. "Yeah... silly." Her eyes were up at David, lingering on his expressions.

He leaned forward a bit, his eyes locked on hers. He didn't know what he was doing and he couldn't stop himself. Carefully, he tilted his head to the left before his lips touched hers. It was a soft kiss, nothing more then a brush on the lips. His heart rushed as he pulled away quickly. What a mistake he had made. But then again, why did she come over here? She could have just called him. But she had come over, and what did that mean? He was so confused about pretty much everything right now. He looked down towards the ground, and then back up again towards Rose.
