Rose missed David. After their little lunch and afternoon on the town he had to leave. His father passed away.Rose offered to be there for him in any way but.. he never contacted her. She had been worried sick about the man. As soon as she got word that he was back, she told her assistant that she'd be away. She had tot go visit David personally she didn't want to wait until he decided to come back to work.
She placed two firm knocks on the apartment door and waited. She didn't let him know that she was coming. Hopefully he wouldn't be upset. But he was a dear friend to her and she wasn't going to sit around and twiddle her thumbs to get an update on him. He had been gone for a while now. He owed her this unexpected visit whether he welcomed it or not.

David sat up hearing a knock on the door. It had been two weeks since he had left and two days since he had been back at the apartment. The Funeral was nice, he supposed. The amount of people that showed up had surprised him. There were a ton of people who had so much respect for his father, most who he had never met until then. Holding back a yawn, he rose from the couch he had been sitting on, setting down the glass of coffee he had been drinking on the small table in front of the couch. David ran his fingers through his hair, it was a little messy, but he didn't mind so much. It couldn't have been too important of a visitor. He'd pretty much dropped everything important he had been doing of the past month or so because of his dad's worsening help. Approaching the door, he let out a little sigh. His hand touched the door knob as he pulled it open. He didn't really bother to use the peep hole. No one would probably bother to try and rob the place or anything. There wasn't anything nice to take. As the door cracked open, David poked his head around the corner and was caught by surprise. A wide grin spread across his face. "Hola," he said, opening the door all the way as he glanced Rose up and down. He couldn't believe that she had come to see him.

Rose smiled softly when David came to the door. He was obviously surprised to see her. She surprised herself that she actually got away from the agency during business hours to do so. "Hey." She said, fiddling with her hands nervously. She didn't know why she was nervous, but she was... "I umm... I just wanted to come by and see how you were doing."
Rose was happy that he didn't get upset by her sudden appearance. And if he was upset then he was holding it in pretty well. She just didn't want to wait. The woman was worried sick.At least he looked okay. A little scruffy but that was normal. He was at home. He wasn't supposed to look like he was ready for a photo shoot right now.

"I think I'm doing okay," David sighed leaning against the door frame. He was doing better than before, for sure. "How about you?" he asked, wondering what sort of things had happened in the past week. Life around the agency always seemed to change. Rumors, scandals, relationships all seemed to pop up and disappear quickly. In the scheme of things two weeks wasn't long, but around new your it seemed like it. He glanced over his shoulder. He figured that if she came all the way from the Agency, she wasn't planning just for a quick hello. Turning back to look at Rose he flashed a quick smile. "Do you want to come in?" he asked.

"I'm doing okay too." She said. For the most part she was. Besides the fact that she was pregnant... everything else was... normal. She didn't come here to talka bout her fears of having a child, the boy just lost his father. He was alot more important than she was. It wasn't like it was the end of the world. She'd survive. Right now her task was to make sure her friend was doing well.
"I was hoping you'd ask that." She said, laughing at the end. It would be weird to just sit out here and have a conversation standing by his door. But she didn't give him any notice and his house could be a sty. That would be a good reason why he wouldn't want her to come in. She could understand that. "I hope I'm not imposing. or anything." She said, a worried tone in her voice. She didn't want to interrupt. If he was busy she'd happily come back later if he needed time to do other things. She suddenly felt a little bad about coming over.

"No, no, not at all," David said, stepping out of the way so Rose could enter. The apartment was what he would consider dirty, there were a few empty glasses scattered about and it was a little dusty, but it wasn't too bad. Actually, it wasn't bad at all considering two bachelors lived there. "I was just catching up on a few calls and trying to get some rest," he explained. Next week he planed to go back to work, officially. No more distractions, no more emergency trips to Mexico. Things could get back to normal. Well, just about as normal as possible. It felt weird to only have his mom be his last bit of family and that didn't feel like it counted much. Sure, he loved her, she loved him, but it was different. Distance was a good thing to keep between them. Picking up his coffee, he sat down on one of the few chairs, leaving the others and the couch open for Rose. He was a little nervous about her visit. He had no clue what it meant. Possibly she liked him back? Or maybe she just felt sorry for him. God, that would have sucked.

Outfit Yo.Rose stepped inside of Davids house and looked around. It wasn't too bad. She was afraid she was going to have to sit on a napkin or something for being so dirty. A few things here and there. Made her happy. Rose wondered how her house would look if she didn't have maids. Maybe she should send them over to clean up Davids place so he could rest more. She'd look into that a little later.
"Well I'm glad that you're relaxing." She said as she sat on the chair. She looked over at David with a smile. He was a good guy. "I'm glad that I got to see you today." She spoke truthfully. Didn't really know why she decided to blurt that out, but it just came out without much thought. It was true. David made her feel sane. Like fred but... it was a different way. With Fred he calmed her down when she was stressed, but she still had everything on her mind. With David, everything melted and she was just in the moment. She liked that feeling alot.

Leaning back into the chair, david tried to relax a bit. He didn't want to seem uncomfortable, even though he was a bit. "It's been kind of lonely around here, I'm not going to lie. So it's good to see anyone." David shrugged. Nicolas wasn't around much because his restaurant was getting great business and quite a few celebrity visits. He was pretty sure he would move out soon. And then it would just be David again. Oh, the world was so lonely. "So, how are things at Rose Murray Agency?" he asked her, crossing his legs and taking a sip of his coffee. Should he ask if she wanted anything to drink? Did he even have anything for her to drink? The house only had wine, tequila and coffee. Well, and water, but that was from the tap.

"Well I'm more than happy to keep you company." She took off one of her shoes and rubbed her heel. "Man my feet are killing me." She frowned. Walking around all day in killer heels put your feet through torture. Rose enjoyed being barefoot and walking on the bare ground. But it wasn't very fashionable. Often times when she was in her office she was without shoes. Her office was her santuary. The place where she could be who she wanted... infront of the right people. Hopefully he didn't mind her relaxing a bit. She really needed it.
"It's business as usual." She responded with a sigh. Nothing was different everything was going well. Well kind of. "Costume national show was fantastic. Well almost a complete success. I took two models Sage Marley and Raphael. Sage ended up twisting her ankle before the fucking show. Called herself "practicing". She shouldn't have even been out there! So she ended up not walking and it ended up being only Raph. That kind of thing looks bad on us you know? Hopefully I won't loose too many clients from that incident." She sighed, stretching out her foot and taking off the other shoe, nurturing it like she did the other.

David smiled as Rose took her shoes off. There were many theories about what happened when shoes came off, and well, David couldn't help but avoid thinking about them. Besides, there were many references to that in art history, which had been one of his favorite subjects at school. "Sounds like a busy two weeks," David said, running his fingers through his hair. "Anything important happening next week? I think I'll be returning right about then.. if you'll allow me too." He didn't doubt she wouldn't let him back, they were friends and he had a family emergency, but it didn't help to make sure.

Rose nodded as she leaned back in the chair, becoming a bit more comfortable. Busy two weeks indeed. And it didn't seem like it was getting any better. "uh...." She sat and thought for a second. "No, not anything extremely huge, but... I guess you can come back. You know if you plan on actually... working." She said, a serious tone in her voice. They were friends, however before David left he hadn't been to work for a couple of weeks before that. And she didn't want to welcome him back in and start working to get him things lined up if he wasn't commited. That should be understandable.
There were probably a few photographers that would be interested in David. New ones mainly. Rose had been all for supporting the dreamers lately. It was her way of "giving back" to the fashion world. Helping starving photographers and designers get their name floating around out there... Hopefully David wouldn't think of it as a downgrade or something. She just thought he'd be a good fit.

"I have to make money some how," David said with a slight grin. "And I promise, no more distractions," he added quite seriously. He wanted Rose to know that he really did want to work now. He needed to work, not because of money like he had said, he had quite a lot now, but because he was going absolutely mad. About half of the day was spent in bed and the other half just moping around. Work was something he really needed to do. Lifting his cup of coffee up to lips, he took a slow sip, his eyes watching her over the lip of the porcelain mug. She seemed a little trouble, like something was up, but David didn't want to pus her. The last thing she probably wanted to do was talk to him about personal things. Remembering something, he stood up, setting the coffee down. "I almost forgot, I got something for you in Mexico," he said as he moved towards a desk sitting in the corner of the room. It wasn't anything big, just something that he had seen in his father's things and thought she would like.

Rose smiled, satisfied with Davids answer. She hoped that he was really here to work and not be distracted anymore. Yes they were friends, but she was in this business to make money. It wasn't any hard feelings towards him, it was just the way things were.
"You got something for me?" She raised her brow, surprised at the last statement. She didn't think that he'd be even thinking about her when he went away. She was flattered. Whether it was big or small she was still raful hat she was in his thoughts while he was away.

"Yes, something for you. Although you might not find it flattering," David said with his simple, sly grin. From the top drawer of the desk, David retrieved a small wooden box, with a simple traditional Mexican carving of a sun on the top. Returning to the sitting area, he opened the top and presented the box to Rose. Inside were some small, colorful dolls. "They're called muñecas quitapenas... Worry Dolls," David explained, looking down on the dolls. "You're supposed to put them under your pillow when you sleep and they'll take away all of your worries. My dad used to make me sleep with them all the time." he let out a slight laugh. All the worries he had then seemed so small. Worrying about tests, girls, being accepted, silly things like that. He had found them in his old room and found them slightly amusing, all the memories they had brought back.

"I like it." Rose told David truthfully once he brought out the doll. It was funny that he had brought her back a "worry doll", but everyone knew that Rose was the queen of worry. It was a really cool concept even if it didn't work. Or maybe it did. Rose would be sure to try it out soon.
"Thankyou David. It really means alot to me that you thought of me while you were away." She said, rising to give her friend a hug. No, it wasn't an expensive necklace, but jewelry wasn't hard to buy for someone you cared about. This doll thing was something David had with him through childhood. It came more from the heart. And because of that it was one of the best gifts she had ever recieved.
